The Saudi Council of Engineers signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Fund for Development

The Saudi Council of Engineers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Fund for Development, aimed at expanding the scope of benefits for national engineering offices and companies from opportunities available in development projects outside the Kingdom. This will contribute to strengthening their presence and enhancing their readiness to participate in high-quality projects.

The MoU seeks to coordinate efforts between the two parties to provide access to information related to proposed projects and to support the participation of licensed engineering offices and companies in these projects. This will enhance their competitiveness and open broader prospects for their involvement in development projects, in accordance with the regulatory and procedural frameworks adopted by both parties.

The MoU also includes supporting local consulting firms and engineering offices and enabling their presence in projects financed by the Saudi Fund for Development outside the Kingdom. This will contribute to expanding the scope of their operations, building cumulative expertise, and strengthening their presence in regional and international markets.

In addition, the MoU provides for the exchange of relevant information and data, contributing to enhanced coordination and improved efficiency in planning and decision-making.

The Secretary General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, Musaed bin Abdullah

Al-Otaibi, explained that the signing of the MoU comes as part of the Council’s commitment to expanding opportunities for national engineering offices and companies, supporting their growth, and enhancing their readiness to participate in development projects in developing countries. This contributes to building a more competitive and sustainable engineering sector and reinforces the role of the national engineering sector as an effective partner in the development journey, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Saudi Council of Engineers continues its efforts to develop the engineering work ecosystem and to strengthen partnerships and integration with relevant entities, in support of national engineering offices and companies, enhancing their readiness, and achieving sustainable growth for the engineering sector.
