Saudi Council of Engineers Concludes Series of Workshops for the Development of Engineering Offices and Firms

The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) has concluded its series of workshops, held from April 13–23, 2025, aimed at developing services provided to engineering offices and firms, identifying appropriate solutions and proposals for the challenges they face, and fostering an environment that promotes growth and excellence.

The workshops, attended by more than 277 owners of engineering offices and firms across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar, focused on strengthening communication between the Council and its partners in the engineering sector. They also addressed various developmental initiatives and challenges facing engineering offices and companies.

Throughout the workshops, several key topics were discussed, including a review of the main challenges identified in previous sessions and the progress made in addressing them. The sessions also presented solutions for professional liability insurance and raised awareness about its importance.

Additionally, efforts to curb unregulated practices in the market were highlighted, alongside an overview of the Council's strategic framework and major initiatives supporting engineering offices and firms. The workshops also covered incentives and support mechanisms, as well as SCE's efforts to tackle the issue of unlicensed offices.

This initiative reflects the Council's commitment to assessing the current state of engineering offices and firms, enhancing the services offered, and identifying effective solutions to key challenges. It aims to create a stimulating and supportive environment that drives sector development in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, thereby contributing to the advancement of the engineering sector and its professionals in achieving the aspirations of the Kingdom's wise leadership.
