The Saudi Council of Engineers concluded a series of open meetings held throughout May 2025 in Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah. The meetings were attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Ahmed bin Tris Al-Sheikh, the Secretary-General, Eng. Abdulmohsen bin Dhawi Al-Majnouni, and several members of the Board, along with active participation from engineers—both male and female—representing various disciplines and sectors.
These meetings were organized as part of the Council's commitment to strengthening effective communication with its members, identifying their needs and aspirations, and contributing to the development of the engineering ecosystem in the Kingdom. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of professional practices in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The meetings witnessed notable engagement from participants, with direct dialogue established between engineers and the Council's leadership. Attendees shared suggestions and feedback, and various professional and regulatory inquiries were addressed during the sessions.
The meetings included a comprehensive introductory presentation on the role and areas of work of the Saudi Council of Engineers. They also featured an overview of the Council's upcoming strategic plans, highlighted efforts to enhance the professional classification system and engineering examinations, and provided updates on the Engineering Practice Law and related regulatory frameworks.
During the meetings, the Chairman of the Board emphasized that safeguarding the profession remains the cornerstone of all efforts undertaken by the Saudi Council of Engineers. He pointed out that governance encompasses every detail of engineering work, from policy formulation to daily practices—enhancing efficiency and reinforcing integrity throughout the system. He stressed that the Council is committed to developing the engineering work environment to ensure high-quality outcomes that align with progress and meet the aspirations of the next phase. He also affirmed that excellence cannot be achieved without active initiative from all members to build a future aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Secretary-General highlighted the importance of such meetings as interactive platforms that bring the Council closer to its members and contribute to developing programs and services based on the actual needs of the field. He confirmed the Council's commitment to continuing these engagements across various regions of the Kingdom.
