The Saudi Council of Engineers participated as a Gold Sponsor in the inaugural edition of the Saudi Industry Forum, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province. The event was strategically partnered with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and took place from June 23 to 25, 2025, at the Dhahran Expo Center, with broad participation from industrial, governmental, and private sector entities.

The Council's participation in the forum—held under the theme: “Our Industries in a New Era: Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development"—reflects its strong belief in the vital role of the industrial sector in supporting the national economy. It also stems from the Council's commitment to building effective bridges between the engineering and industrial sectors, contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in localizing technology and developing national human capital.

Through its participation in the forum, the Saudi Council of Engineers aimed to highlight its pivotal role in empowering and developing engineers within the industrial sector and to contribute to national discussions on the future of industry in the age of automation and digital transformation. The participation also sought to raise awareness of the Council's services and initiatives through panel discussions, interactive workshops, and an informational pavilion, in addition to strengthening strategic partnerships with relevant industrial and governmental entities.

This participation reflects the Council's keenness to establish its presence in influential national platforms and to play an active role in shaping the future of vital sectors—chief among them the industrial sector. It also reaffirms the Council's ongoing commitment to developing national talents and enhancing the integration of roles between the engineering and industrial sectors, thereby contributing to driving development and achieving Saudi Vision 2030's goals of building a knowledge-based economy rooted in innovation and technology.

The Saudi Council of Engineers had a prominent presence and notable participation throughout the forum. On the first day, the Council was officially honored by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, in recognition of its Golden Sponsorship. On the second day, the Council's presence continued with the participation of the Secretary-General, Eng. Abdulmohsen Al-Majnouni, in a panel discussion titled: “Human Capacity Development in the Age of Automation: Challenges and Opportunities for the Industrial Sector." The Council concluded its participation on the third day by organizing an introductory workshop showcasing its key services, development programs, and professional accreditation and qualification offerings.

Throughout the three days of the forum, the Saudi Council of Engineers participated with an informative booth, through which it presented a comprehensive overview of its leading initiatives and projects. The booth also served as a platform for providing information and consultations to engineers, industry professionals, and visitors interested in engineering and industrial affairs, in addition to addressing all inquiries related to the Council's services.

The forum aims to strengthen the industrial sector in the Kingdom by focusing on economic trends and evaluating policies and technologies that support sustainable management in manufacturing industries. It also highlights the chemical industries and the latest technological developments in the industrial sector, introduces investment opportunities, supports local content, promotes the presence of Saudi products in international markets, and explores how Saudi factories can leverage digital technologies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and support initiatives that address the challenges facing the sector.
