The Saudi Council of Engineers concluded the Architecture and Urban Heritage Forum in Asir, which was held from 3 to 4 December 2025, at the Abha Chamber of Commerce Theatre, with the participation of specialists and several entities concerned with the urban sector.
The forum aimed to discuss topics related to local architecture and urban heritage in the region and to align them with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to highlighting Asir cultural and architectural distinctiveness and reviewing experiences and practices that reflect its urban identity.
The forum also addressed a set of main themes related to the region's urban identity, its heritage features, and the elements that distinguish it, alongside the presentation of initiatives and ideas concerned with local architecture and methods of documenting it.
The forum witnessed wide participation from engineers, relevant entities, and those interested in architecture and heritage, as they were given the opportunity to review the most prominent experiences and initiatives in the field of local architecture and urban heritage, and to participate in the forum's sessions and activities.
